Position Title: Project Officers (x3) - Capvine Nigeria
Working Pattern: Flexible
Classification: Voluntary (Unpaid)
Capvine encourages us to evaluate our understanding of international development and attitude to social impact. Our blog commentary now focuses on the effectiveness of UK aid spending overseas while our international projects and programmes aim to support local actors in achieving the SDGs.
We are looking for three Project Officers to join our Article 4 unit in Nigeria.
You'll be involved in (job description):
Conducting country-specific research into anti-human trafficking and modern day slavery;
Supporting new partnerships and tracking active projects in the delivery pipeline;
Supporting our capacity building and lifelong learning agenda for projects;
Assisting with narrative proposal writing, and following up on partnership feedback;
Working with Team Leader and external partners to prepare reports and other documents for partners and sponsors;
Carry out other tasks, which may reasonably be requested.
Please consider applying if you are (person specification):
Passionate about ending human trafficking and modern slavery in West Africa
Have a keen interest in capacity building and developing lifelong learning opportunities for all.
Great at pitching new ideas to partners and sponsors (Emails, LinkedIn, Zoom, WhatsApp, face-to-face, you name it)
If you don't think you're great (just yet), still consider applying. We can show you the ropes.
But you must be comfortable with the idea of sourcing new networking and partnership ideas with the right organisations and individuals (this is a must)
Great at keeping the team spirit alive (basically be a team player. It's how we're able to do what we do)
Great at taking initiative (we need all hands on deck, especially at peak times)
There'll be opportunities for you to manage your own projects if this is something you're interested in at this stage. We're very flexible!
